My name is Diego Búrigo Zacarão I live around Criciúma/SC and I am graduated in Computer Science at the Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense – UNESC, Brazil.
I am involved with Free Software mostly through the Fedora Project where I have been participating of some sub-projects since 2006:
I have started as a translator and for a long time I was one of the Brazilian Portuguese language maintainers. In that position, I was responsible for the Docs and Website’s translations like the Fedora Release Notes.
Nowadays I am a member of the Fedora Localization Project Steering Committee – FLSCo and the Fedora Localization Infrastructure Team, where actually I help the Fedora Localization Project – FLP with the translations issues, mainly by developing Transifex.
Transifex is an open platform for management of translations and currently I am working full time on it at Indifex. This project became an upstream project outside Fedora Project and more information about it came be found at http://transifex.net.
Still about Fedora contributions, as an ambassador I have attended some events around my region, included FISL, the most famous event about Free Software in Brazil.
